THE MASTER WINEMAKER

Edgardo Ibarra, Bodegas Haarth Viñedos’ Master Winemaker, is among one of the region’s most highly regarded wine experts.  His passion and dedication to his craft are the driving forces behind his ability to create wines that are adored by wine enthusiasts around the globe.  Mr. Ibarra holds a Technical Bachelor in Agrarian Anus from the Paschal school Laccarini, and a Degree in Enology from the University of Don Bosco.  He has won many awards for his wine talents, and has also worked with many organizations to help develop Argentina’s international wine presence. 

Mr. Ibarra was President for the Center of Enologos of San Rafael for five years.  He was also a founding professor of the Tourism Faculty, Hotel Profession and Gastronomina of Mendoza in the department of San Rafael.  He was the first president of Evinsur during the years 1996, 97, and 98.  Mr. Ibarra was also a member of the Committee of Tasting for the D.O.C. San Rafael (Controlled Denomination of Origin), and oversaw organic wine certification at an international level.  Finally, Egdardo Ibarra has juried a variety of international wine competitions, and has taken part in the training of international specialist panels.
